My clothes had been piling up in my dresser and I was worried this would take longer than 30 minutes. One of the best ways to make sure you get rid of the things you don&#8217;t need, is to put a time limit on the process. By only allowing myself 30 minutes to get through my dresser, I didn&#8217;t really have time to overthink any item. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:19px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anytime I organize my dresser, just like with my <a href=\"https:\/\/delightfully-designed.com\/staging\/5869\/clothes-organization-day-7-30-day-organization-challenge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">son&#8217;s clothes<\/a>, I go through one drawer at a time. Emptying all of the drawers at one time, is just too overwhelming for me. Once you empty a drawer, go ahead and give it a quick wipe down. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:19px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Steps to Organize Your Dresser: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:19px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Take everything out of your dresser, one drawer at a time. <\/li><li>Decide whether to keep, donate, or throw away every item. <\/li><li>Throw away stained\/ripped clothes. <\/li><li>Donate anything that doesn&#8217;t fit, or you haven&#8217;t worn in the last year. <\/li><li>Fold everything you are keeping and put it back in the drawer. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:19px\" drawer at a time, until you have managed to organize your entire dresser. You&#8217;ll notice I don&#8217;t necessarily fold everything the same way. Over the years, I have gone back and forth on how I have folded my clothes. Today, I tried the Marie Kondo method on my shorts, and I think I like it. I really don&#8217;t think there is one right way to fold clothes, contrary to towels. As long as everything fits in my drawers and I can see what I have, I&#8217;m happy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:19px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While you are going through the items in your dresser, go ahead and clear off the top as well. Our dressers tend to collect a lot of random items.
