Pantry Organization: 4 steps to a beautiful, clean, organized pantry

Pantry beforePantry after

My new pantry was driving me crazy so I figured it was time for some pantry organization. I headed over to Amazon to see what clear bins they had, and found a few that would be perfect for my space. I prefer the clear storage so that I can see what I have.

First thing I did was take everything out of the pantry and put into categories. There is a large island in our kitchen, so I used that space to categories things. I find that categorizing things helps prepare me for what I need to buy. Doing this step before you purchase bins, will save you from having to return things later.

Next, I started breaking items into categories.  I had some ideas of how I wanted to put things before I purchased the bins. The categories are used were, cereals, breads, gluten free snacks, snacks, spaghetti, pasta, gluten free pasta, oats, and quinoa.

4 Tips for Easy Pantry Organization

Tip 1: Measure your shelves to see how you can maximize the space, and not waste time having to return items that don’t fit or wait on more product to come in.

Tip 2: Take everything out of boxes that you can, in order to save space.

Tip 3: Cut out any instructions or nutritional information that you want to keep, and tape it to the bottom or back.

Tip 4: Label the categories that you consistently purchase. I love the little labels that come with the Chef’s Path products. They make pantry organization cute 🙂

I found myself rearranging a few things as I went, but in the end, I love how it turned out!

You can see all of the products I used to organize my pantry, below.

Update: I just went grocery shopping for the first time since I organized my pantry. Putting groceries away was much more fun and such a breeze! The teens didn’t even mind helping 🙂
